| As an artist,
Syful Islam always looked for a way to improve his works, his arts. He thought
that teaching is the best practice to improve himself. so he rented a house
and started the art school named after his only son ‘Cezanne’
in 1981 at Banani, Dhaka.
In this school, he started teaching basic pencil drawings and oil paintings
to ladies and children, those who had interest and talent in fine Arts.
After few years the school became famous in Dhaka city. Hundreds of students
started learning painting in this school. Amongst the students are many
foreigners and diplomats. He has organized several Group Art exhibitions
with the students work.
Each year about 200 students enroll in this school and carry on for years.
The school is like a hobby practicing centre for the Art lovers of all
ages. Here the detail ins and outs of paintings, techniques with colors
and brushes are being taught with great concern. The artist is the owner
and the only teacher of this institution. He has devoted 28 years of his
life to bring the school at this level. The school is still running at
Uttara residential area and imparting the skill of painting with much
care.
